 With Big Bear Lake situated at the top of the San Bernardino Mountains, the view from the many hiking and biking and even off-road trails are spectacular!
Big Bear Lake has an Alpine like climate, with pleasant temperatures in the summer to moderate California winters.
Big Bear Lake is also a popular area for fishing. This lake is very well stocked. Many people travel here and bring their own boats (boat rental is available) to spend the day on the lake and enjoy everything from water sport activities to fishing! Sailing is another popular lake activity. Sometimes, the lake will experience enchanting winds coming up over the dam.
In the winter, our mountains enjoy a beautiful covering of snow,
sometimes lasting as late as June, which is great for both boarders and skiers alike.

Big Bear Lake is centrally located in Southern California and experiences all four seasons. With so many things to do and see you won't be bored. In the warmer months you can enjoy such activities as boating, hiking, off-roading and fishing. During the colder months there is snowboarding, skiing, sledding or just plain old fashioned snowball fights!
